About Me
Hello! My name is Ariana Jordan, but it's Ms. Jordan if you are one of my wonderful students :) After student teaching at North Paulding High School 2017-2018, and having a WONDERFUL experience, I am THRILLED to be back teaching full time.
Born in Montana, but moving to Savannah, Georgia at 8 years old, my heart is split between the two states. I have family in both and frequently visit those out in Montana -- hiking in Montana is a LIFE CHANGER. If it didn't get unforgivably cold up there, I'd have moved years ago. However, for the time being, Georgia is and will remain my home. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in May 2018 with a degree in Secondary English Education. After completing a year-long student teaching clinical experience (prior to graduation) at NPHS, I could not leave and decided to continue my professional teaching career as part of the Pack! Want to know a little bit more about me? In my spare time, I enjoy sleeping, Starbucks, UGA (Go Dawgs!), reading, hiking, and spending time with family. Taylor Swift is a GUILTY pleasure of mine -- prepare yourself to hear her blasting in my classroom from time-to-time. I believe laughter is the best medicine -- a day without laughter is a wasted day. To my students: I am honored and excited to work alongside of you this year. My hope is that you feel empowered to express who you are and explore the world around you through reading and writing. This year, I hope you will see that English can be relevant and fun! To my students' parents & guardians: I do not believe that you can separate a student's home life from their school life. YOU are important and needed in the classroom. I look forward to working with your child AND YOU this year. Always feel free to reach out to me! |
